Egyptian Walking Onnion

My first exposure to these was when I was a kid. I bought a few sets a couple of years ago and planted them in a "bed". Last year because of my medical problems I missed removing some of the bulbs and they replanted themselves. I forgot how good these are when they first come up and are used as green onions. This fall I am going to remove the bulbs on the top like I always do and replant them in a normal garden row. Next year I should only need to leave about 10 onions or so for seed. I will pull those up once I harvest the seed and probably throw them in the compost bin, they are way too strong as a mature onion, but an excellent source for green onions in May!
