This is a Rose Mallow - a type of Hardy Hibiscus; there was actually a drug bust in Texas in 2004 because of a plant similar to this - Barney Fife at his best!

The TV Show Three’s Company had an episode where they thought that False Aralia was Cannabis; I wonder if there have been busts gone bust for that plant?
